Charge d'Affaires Ren Faqiang Met with Prime Minister D. M. Jayaratne

Sri Lankan Prime Minister D. M. Jayaratne will attend the 1ST China-South Asia Expo(CSAEXPO) in Kunming, Yunnan Province of China in early June. On 3 June,Charge d'Affaires & Political Counsellor Ren Faqiang of Chinese Embassy met with Prime Minister Jayaratne at the PM's Office. Ren briefed the Prime Minister the latest development of China-Sri Lanka relations and the preparation of the CSAEXPO. Prime Minister Jayaratne positively evaluated the current development of China-Sri Lanka ties and H.E. President Mahinda Rajapaksa's recent state visit to China. He said that he looked forward to visiting Kunming and attending the CSAEXPO, which would promote the economic and trade cooperation between China and South Asian countries, including Sri Lanka.
