|Notice on Procedures of Boarding with Negative Nucleic Acid Test Certificate for COVID-19 for Passengers Traveling from Sri Lank to China|
In accordance with the joint announcement of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the General Administration of Customs of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, starting from 18 August 2020, Chinese and foreign travelers who are to fly from Sri Lanka to China are required to obtain COVID-19 negative certificates within five days before boarding.The following procedures are for foreign travelers to follow:
1.All foreign passengers inbound China by flights from Sri Lankan airports shall be required to obtain nucleic acid tests results for COVID-19 at the designated hospitals within 120 hours prior to boarding flights and only those who test negative will be allowed to board the plane.Please provide the hospitals with your ID documents, flight information, and remind the hospitals to scan the COVID-19 negative reports and send them to the email adress of the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka: firstname.lastname@example.org.The list of hospitals designated for nucleic acid tests is as follows ( Annex 1 ) :
2.Foreign passengers shall fill in and sign the Health Declaration Forms ( Annex 2 ) and are required to send scanned copies of the signed Forms, together with the Nucleic Acid Test Certificates and the valid passports data pages as soon as possible to the email address of this Embassy:email@example.com.
3.The Embassy will send the scanned Health Declaration Forms with a validity period of 5 days (starting from the issuing date of the Nucleic Acid Test Certificates at the designated hospitals) with official seals after approval back to the passengers by email. Since it shall take time for the Embassy to certify the results, passengers are advised to obtain the Health Declaration Forms sealed by the Embassy no later than 1 day before boarding.
4.Passengers shall be required to present the print-out sealed Health Declaration Forms within the validity period during check-in or before boarding flight and cooperate with airlines for further checking. Please be noted that passengers with expired Health Declaration Forms won't be allowed to board and are required to conduct new Nucleic Acid Tests as well as applying for new Health Declaration Forms.
5. For foreign passengers ultimately bound for China who transfer via other countries that require valid Health Declaration Forms for boarding (please see https://hr.cs.mfa.gov.cn/help_two/help-two/gj.html, select ENGLISH version on top right of the page) will also be required to show Health Declaration Forms during transfer. Please make sure that the Forms will be still valid when boarding the connecting flights.
7. Please be noted that a sealed Health Declaration Form is NOT a Chinese visa. For visa service, please refer to the Announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China and National Immigration Administration on the Temporary Suspension of Entry by Foreign Nationals Holding Valid Chinese Visas or Residence Permits on March 26, 2020. 8. Please complete the nucleic acid test "within 5 days before boarding". For example, passengers taking China Eastern Airlines flight MU232 on August 21 (Friday) can obtain the nucleic acid test certificates as early as August 16 (Sunday). In view of the situation that some hospitals can only issue certificates the next day, passengers can take nucleic acid tests as early as August 15 (Saturday).
9.According to the General Administration of Customs of China Announcement on Re-adopting the Health Declaration Form for Inbound and Outbound Travellers, please declare the health conditions to quarantine officers of China Customs on Entry/Exit, and cooperate with quarantine measures such as temperature monitoring, medical inspection and investigation.You can choose to declare the health conditions online 24 hours in advance(please click the link:http://health.customsapp.com/ads/)
